A Persian brass astrolabe Iran, late 19th century with a most possibly spurious date 1128 AH (1715 AD)
Dalla classica forma circolare con ornamento lobato sull'orlo superiore e decorato con iscrizioni in thuluth sul fronte ed uccelli tra foglie sul retro. Lo strumento comprende quattro quadranti mobili, loro alloggiamento, rete, chiusura e gancio di sospensione. Ogni quadrante mostra incisioni inerenti all'astronomia ed astrologia e la base riporta la data 1128 AH (1715 AD).
