Ceremonial mask linked to the cult of Owu, the spirit of water. The Okoroshi Oma masks characterized by the white color and linked to femininity are worn during the ceremony as a counterpart to the Okoroshi Ojo masks, painted in dark and linked to the male part of the Owu cult.
Provenance: Italian private collection, acquired in the early '70s from a historical French collection formed around the 40s of the last century.
