Man Ray
Revolving doors: "The meeting".
E/A. Signature and edition lower in pencil. Work published in 1973 by the Galleria Il Fauno, Turin, in an edition of 100 copies + 10 copies on Japan paper + 4 artist's proofs. Between 1916 and 1917, Man Ray created a series of collages which he called "Revolving Doors". The collages were framed and installed on a pole that the viewer could could. The original sheets, after the personal exhibition at the Daniel Gallery in New York, in 1919, were destroyed. Man Ray subsequently reproduced them in a series of stencil prints published by the Éditions Surréalistes of Paris in 1926 and by the Galleria Il Fauno, Turin in 1973.
