Signed and entitled on the base. Of the "Pensiero Dominante", Bialetti's most famous work, the half-figure bronze presented and awarded the gold medal at the Venice International Exposition in 1903 is preserved at the Galleria d'Arte Moderna in Milan (inv. n° 499), while a marble of the same subject but half-length, like our bronze, is found in the collections of the Poldi Pezzoli Museum in Milan (inv. n° 4545).
